Rick,
As Wykat suggested, select DVDSpy from the dropdown list located next to the learn button. Next, click the learn button and insert a DVD into the drive. Once the drive spins up and sees the disk, Girder will have "learned" the event.

OK I want to get DVDspy working so I can detect disk inserts and send info to an LCD display. I am trying to get it working on my XP machine first to get my head around what it does and how it works ie not my HTPC.
I loaded the zip file contents to Girder directory and added the plugin and Taskcreate options.
I have imported a GXR file which is suppose to detect a disk insert and shut down pcfriendly however it does not work.
How was this command setup their seems to be no option under plugins to select a command or on event.
I ran the reg patch too.....
I must be missing something.
Thanks Rick

Ok I now have the DVDspy learn event happening but all it learns is the Girder.exe close event not the slected event ie insert disk into drive D:
I am running XP is it tested with this os?

Ok I have it working had to disable taskswitch and taskcreate to get learn working correctly.... but the whole reason I did this was to kill PCfriendly but now I have DVDspy working pcfriendly does not run does dvdspy kill autoinset notification or something or am I still missing something?

The simplest way to test DVDspy is to create a single command to create a simple OSD. Then in the pull down window beside the LEARN button select DVDspy and then press LEARN to select an event. That's it. (I can't get it to work with PowerDVD 4 however, but disc insert/eject do work)
