...but I cannot help it.

I am just getting started with girder, and am missing a big concept. I am trying to control (actually just run autohotkey .exe macros) on an HTPC running XPMCE, using a Pronto 7000 and USB UIRT.

I have created the command, but now I need to create the event. Girder says it will learn the event and Pronto says it will learn the event, both learn IR codes. Where do I create the IR code? What am I missing? How do I get an IR code to tell both which IR code to use?

Thanks,
Gerald

Just teach your pronto some kind of codes, it really doesn't matter since the UART will simply read which ever. Try to find some that have repeats on buttons like volume.

I think you can find codes on remote central. (Maybe the pronto comes preprogrammed even...)

After you selected the remote codes on the pronto, simply aim at the pronto press learn event in Girder and press a pronto button.
