View Full Version : I think NR is crashing MC's Visualisations (Now Fixed!)

It's taken me a long time to get to the bottom of this one but I can finally recreate a nasty problem. This is the series of events:

1. Start MC via Girder (mjextman.exe /Power)
2. Use GAC to play a view scheme with a random 100 tracks (~sort=[random] ~n=100).
3. Switch MC to full screen mode (last time you used MC it was set to Visualisations or G-Force if you have G-Force installed)
4. Because NR/MC is still compiling the play list of 100 tracks (wel I think that's the reason) MC's full screen mode does not initialise properly. You have to kill MC from task manager.

This gets me a WAF of 0% :(

Can anyone recreate this or offer a solution?

I can recreate this really easily now. Simply start MC, use NR to send some tracks to Playing Now (e.g. play album from the tree view) and then put MC into full screen visualisations. MC's full screen view will crash.

Please can someone try and recreate for me.

I found a workaround. I changed MC startup options to start in full screen mode and start playing the current playlist. This ensures that the visualisations or G-Force initialise properly before NR starts chucking tracks at MC.

I'll try to recreate in the next few days. Nice workaround, for now, but (obviously) shouldn't be necessary.

I can no longer replicate this problem with MB2 and I can still replicate it every time with RS.

Thanks Ben.
