When I run Netremote I can't see any of my album art when I click on "Covers"..
My itunes library shows up fine, and I can assure you the covers are in the mp3 tags.
What gives?
The covers show up on the "Home" screen while I'm playing an album so I know they are there.

Help.

There's been a few new releases posted recently with bug fixes. Make sure you are using v 1.0.20 and see if you have the same problem.

No I'm running 1.0.20.0

Sorry if my you found my tone offensive, it's just depressing when you spend $$ for software only to find it's still in a beta stage of development. The Album Art feature of this program was the reason I purchased this software in the fiirst place.
I should have waited and read the reviews. My fault...

Just ditch that iTunes c**p and you will be away. Their API's are rubbish so there's little these guys can do. JRMC does everything iTunes can do and more but it does it better. It will support your ipod and AAC format and it will integrate perfectly with NR.

Try MC 10.0.173 on a trial basis with my CCF (follow my sig) and then tell me you are still unsatisfied.

This is a limitation of the iTunes interface. I just doesn't work very well for what we want to do. Everytime iTunes starts, NR must recache all the library data. If we added coverart to this, the startup time would be untolerable.

Clearly you did not make proper use of the 30 day trial offered with NR. JRMC has a 30 day trial too so you have nothing to lose.

Is there a technical reason why NR must cache/recache the library at all? If you take a look at Salling Clicker: they've got album art, browsing, find functions, etc via bluetooth. No recaching of data needed on cell phones, Palms, etc. There's also the webremote interface via Apache on OS X.

Unfortunately the two apps are controlling it in different ways. Windows doesn't support AppleScript, and the COM model that Apple has provided is severely lacking. Unfortunately they have a system of ID's to refer to a track, but the ID's -change- on every start.

Also, to try to create a unified interface on NetRemote, MediaBridge is massaging the iTunes library to look like it's sorted by artist, album, genre, etc. which believe it or not you can't easily do from the COM model.
