When did you want this to happen? When you inserted the disc? The problem with doing it then is that the disc information itself doesn't say this. You have to get a DVD decoder started. That happens when the software player start playing. Is that when you expected the switch? The problem with doing it then is that the player may not like having the screen resolution changed while in the middle of playing.

Can it do this as I want to switch resolutions in powerstrip based on whether the disk is pal or ntsc or another way would be based on region 1 or region 4 but by video format is best.
If it can be done please explain if not can the developer add this feature?
Thanks Rick

No I need it to happen before the player starts.....what about based on the region?
or does the serial number give away what region or video type it is?
The other option is to start the plyer check for pal or ntsc check current resolution and if not correct stop player change resolution and restart the player...bit messy but hey .
What do you think?

another option could be to trap something from regionkiller it detects region though I am not sure where or when it grabs it before the player starts or after?

Actually TheatreTek version 1.1 can handle a resolution change while running so it could be passed from the player?
What do you think?
