Excellent cheap IRDA device but IRDA plugin?

its excellent cheap device to IRDA device. But this works with mobiles what about Girder can Ron/Developers please look how this can work with Girder. Can anyone write plugin.

IRDA have been greatly documented as not compatible with remote controll IR (consumer IR).

Therefore, having a IRDA plugin would be pointless as the device won't pick up signal from the remote control. IRDA is intended as a comport.
