PCTV Pinnacle remote control.

Dear members, I bought myself a tv card, which is just new but I guess the remote control is the same as with the other cards it has 41 keys and is from pinnacle, anyway I want to use the remote control to also play songs on winamp etc.
The problem is girder won't recognise my remote control.
I did download the plugin from sadman, and it is green in the list of plugins, it is on COM port 1 and the cirkle on the bottom of the girders screen is green too.
But it still won't recognise the remote control.
I'm using windows xp, and I'm using girder 3,30 and when I install girder 3.37 then it says girder 3,30 is installed.
Anyway it just doens't work any suggestions are welcome...

BTW I already downloaded a complete winamp girder file, and when testing the commands the commands work but when I press learn event it just doesn't change a thing.

P.S Just noticed that if I push a button on the remote control to start the program which executes the television on the computer, than girder does recognise that command and picks up the signal.
But that means I can only configure buttons to that 1 button of the 41 in total on my remote control while that button is already taken by starting up the television program....

I am not familiar with your hardware but you need to make sure that the supplied software is not running when using Girder. I am assuming you installed and enable the plugin?

I've got a asus motherboard A7V600-X 512MB RAM and a AMD Athlon xp 2100+ 1,74Ghz...
The tv card is just a pinnacle pctv card, and the remote control is the one that came with it it is the same as all other pinnacal remote's.
But I indeed did download the plugin and it is green now and it has "v" standing in front of the plugin in the program and I selected the com port etc.
But it only will recognise the keys that are used to start the program for watching tv...
And if I press such a key then the tv program will start all the other buttons won't work.

Okay thanks it is working now, since you said it is important that the software isn't running for the tv watching.
I thought something in windows only wants to "see" the on button for the tv from the remote control.
And it blocks all the other keys.
So I put some things off in ctrl+alt+delete and there was some program called remotec and I turned that off and now girder receive's all the keys :D .
So if anyone else is having problems in general with the computer not receiving keys from the remote look in the task manager and turn some things off.

icexool, could you explain to me how you got your remote to work with girder? i have installed the two types of plug ins, the jurgen one and the one from the download page, but none worked. i have tired crtl alt del the remote program and still no luck.
is yourpinnacle ir recieve connected to the back of the pci card or to a com port???.
im having problems because i think as mine is connected to the pci card itself... anyone got any ideas?? its a pinnacle media center 300i and girder 3.3.4
