View Full Version : Girder Will Not Enable IRMan Plug-in In XP

Hi,

I can confirm that the IRMAN DOES work with WindowsXP. I have WinXP and my IRMAN is used on a daily basis.

Try moving the IRMAN to COM port 2 and then changing the settings under the IRMAN config.

Best of luck.

John

Using Girder 3.0.24 in XP, I am unable to "Enable Input Devices" manually by pressing F9 or thru the Settings "Auto Enable Input Devices". I'm trying to enable my IRMan. IRMan is on COM1 and Dilard on COM2 (and Dilard is able to communicate on COM2). In Device Manager, the COM ports have no conflicts and appears to be OK. I have changed the IRQ settings to others ones that are not in use but still Girder cannot initialize the IRMan. Since this is a triple boot HTPC, WinME and 2K partitions work fine with Girder and IRMan.

I have a P4 Abit TH7-2 non-Raid MB with all the latest OS updates.
Any suggestions as to what to try next? XP without Girder is a no go for me.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH JOHN !!

I totally forgot that I needed to configure IRMan by clicking on the plug-in and changing it to COM1 (it was on the same COM2 Setting as Dilard). It has been awhile since I had configured it on my WinMe partition.

Thank you again,

Rick
