drogers

I had been having some 'issues' getting maX10 and Girder to play nice together. Why would I need that you ask? Well, I needed girder for serial control of my PJ, but in girder it's tough to set up the various different 'modes' of operation a'la maX10.
I was using girder with the keyboard plugin and passing keys from maX10 - very ugly and didn't work too well. Girder kept recognizing partial key combinations... So I tried the TCP/IP plugin and voila!
In maX10 set the key setting to 'Start Program' and use console.exe with all of the command lines switches you need then check 'use alternate starting method'. It's flawless! Well, almost, console.exe still pops up for 1/10th of a second, but I can live with that for now.
I am sooooo happy!
