I'm having problems getting mute to work.

I've tried capturing the system command (from my functional keyboard mute button, which windows deals with) but that does nothing when I map my remote's mute button to it. The Volume Mute Toggle option in the OS tab just puts the volume down to Zero rather than muting it.

I don't think it's a problem with the remote because the other functions work and Girder is receiving the mute button signal.

I'm using XP SP2 and have a Soundblaster PCI sound card.

Any help with this is appreciated.

What is the difference between muting and putting the volume down to zero? If you try to unmute it, does it switch the volume back to the same level that it was at?

Hi,

I fixed the problem - I was being stupid and not setting the Master Mute Toggle option in the volume dialogue.
