Ben,
I think it would be great if you could start MP thru Mediabridge, with some form of toggle, i.e MP.Power. At the moment I and I beleive most people use girder.
What do you think?

Dan,
Also, on some other thread, I suggested that MediaBridge should monitor the life of the player, restarting it if it dies. MC11 does seem to crash a lot, and when that happens, MB2 is (to use Ben's words) "dead in the water".

Hi guys,
Yes - I've added the code to handle that, Brian. I'll be releasing another version tomorrow in the afternoon. Basically MB -always- ensures the media player of choice is running, so I'm not sure the MB.Power is required, Dan. Am I understanding the goal correctly?
Thanks!

Hi Ben,
I think you have got me, I basically want to be able to open and close mediacenter without using girder

Dan,
There may be a subtle difference in the way I had hoped to use MC and what your plan might be. I would happily allow MC to run all the time (with MB2 restarting it if it dies). And when I am not listening to music (e.g. watching TV, DVD, PVR, or even sleeping!), then MC would be stopped and minimised to the tray.
Would that work for you? Or do you need something else from MB2 that Ben needs to think about? One issue is that I have yet to find a way to minimise/restore MC without Girder. But that doesn't really bother me.

Hi,
I could probably live with mc running all the time. I think i will stick with you for now
