I have the same packard bell remote, and am having the same problems. I am using a laptop, and have the IR reciever on com 1, and i know it is connected correctly, because i have also installed UICE and have made that work with it, but since it is a POS program, i am tryin to get girder to work. I am good with computers, but i have NO idea about this thing. Im not sure which input devices to enable, but ive tried all of them, and nothing has worked. When i chose some of them, it look like it will work after i hit F9, and it says, "device enabled", but when i try to make a command, and press the "learn" button, i point the remote and the reciever and press the corresponding button, nothing happens. i would greatly appreciate any help. if you would rather contact me over AIM, my screen name is Ardillero and i have an away message up usually, so im on 24 hours a day.
