I´m trying to use the X10 CM11A Girder Plugin to control my computer. But i doesn´t receive any events from my X10 remotes. It just says "waiting for cm11 plugin driver" when I try to learn events. Entering an event to receive have no effect either.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Are you using a TM751 to put the RF signal onto the powerline?
Do you have a phase coupler installed?

I´m using this transciever:

Perhaps the TM13 is the wrong one for this plugin?

Hopefully some other folks from across the pond will offer some suggestions ;)

I don't know much about x10 and 220v.

Um... do you actually have a CM11 or similar connected to your PC?

The TM13 only receives RF from X10 devices and puts X10 commands on the powerline.

Do you have a cm12u? (equivalent to the cm11a (US version))?
Edit: hehe... beat me to it :)

The TM13u shouldn't be the problem (concerning the plug-in), unless its broken.

The plug-in (for what I know) should work with the cm12u interface.

I wonder if this is configuration error, or a signal problem.?. >> ?

Yes, I have a cm11 connected to my computer and powerline. The tm13is also connected to the powerline. Sending events to the cm11 is no problem, it´s the plugin that doesn´t receive any.

It might be worth trying the ActiveHome software to check that the cm11 is actually receiving events. You almost certainly can't run both ActiveHome and Girder at the same time though.

If Activehome doesn't receive events either then the cm11 is broken, or there's something that's causing interference with X10 signals

Sending events to the cm11 is no problem, and activehome is not running att the same time as girder. Well, well, I´ll have another go, perhaps third time´s the charm :)

Thanks for your help.

But does ActiveHome receive events?

How can I check if Activehome receives events?

It's many years since I last used ActiveHome, but all you should need to do is close Girder and start ActiveHome. Does it have a log window or similar? If not you could always have it turn on a light when you use a different X10 command.
