That depends: In which windows do you want to change the fontsize? It should be possible to do this in IE or Firefox by a Girder hotkey, but Word will be different.

i mean the overall font size that windows uses. you can change it in "properties for screen" under the tab "apperance" (not 100% sure that iit is the proper english words for it)
but how to do it with girder?

Hi, I'm having the same prob as you. So far, I can execute desk.cpl (display properties), and select appearance tab. I've been using Command capturing and execution but it just will not allow me to select the font size box and then e xtra large. this is all a multigroup by the way and there's a wait command just after loading the desk.cpl to account for loading times. If anyone figures it out, PLEASE LET US KNOW!

hi,
For a low-tech approach, just use Girder to switch to a lower screen resolution (very simple overall increase in font size)
But let us know what display setup you use (one or mutiple displays, type of display, used resolution, clone mode or dualscreen mode etc) and all the programs that need a greater font size.
note.... it's usually pointless to use a screen resolution above 600x800 if the display you use is a regular TV (non-hdtv)
And please sketch the scenario of how and why you want to use a certain program and function. (context is the key to giving the right advice)

Yo,
I use a single CRT monitor at 1280x1024. I only really larger font sizes for my (music) folders so I can read them from a distance. I might try that res trick but I reckon it'll displace my placement settings, anywho it's worth a shot. Would it be worth investigating sendmessage commands to see if there's anything in there?

Hi,
Sounds like you could use a HTPC frontend like Media Portal or MyHTPC among other ones. or you could use the html osd or monsters osd...don't remember which one (download\plugins section) which also allows you to browse through your folders and files, using a larger font size.

Ok... I've managed to find a way to truncate the whole process. By creating themes with display properties:appearance then saving the themes as files, you can just execute the theme files. You must be sure to OK the properties dialog though; if anyone can find a way to automatically apply changes to an executed theme file then let us know.
