Does anyone know how to make NetRemote IR software work on Windows XP PC? I tried the software installation. But I only found the document and uninstall utility on the Windows Menu after installation.

Direct IR doesn't work on Win32. You need an external emitter, like the USB-UIRT or the Global Cache device.

Thank you. So USB-UIRT will come with totally different software, nothing to do with NetRemote.
Does NetRemote use PDA Audio Port or IrDA port to emit IR code?

No, USB-UIRT is pure hardware, and it comes with a driver for Girder and NetRemote. And the PPCs use the regular IRDA port.

PPC uses IrDA port, what about WinCE based Pocket PC?
Does NetRemote support .CCF format of Remote Control code? In other words, is it possible to manually create a RC code file and emit by USB-UIRT?
If possible, does NetRemote provide API to emit by USB-UIRT, or must from GUI client?
Could I install NetRemote original (for WinCE Pocket PC) software to Windows XP PC, plus USB-UIRT driver, then do this from Windows XP PC?
Thank you in advance.

Wow, you're asking a bit over my head here... Let's see. The direct IR on NetRemote only support XScale processors, as far as I know. But it can also send IR via an USB-UIRT/GC unit, that goes over WLAN. And you can paste CCF code straight into buttons in NetRemote. You can emit IR from USB-UIRT from Girder, so it doesn't have to bee with a GUI client. You can even use a command line program that Jon, the USB-UIRT guy, has made. And NetRemote Win32 sends IR with the USB-UIRT.

thanks. I really appreciate your prompt answer. BTW: I am asking Jon regarding USB-UIRT now.

You're welcome. This is a pretty friendly forum, and almost all things concerning NetRemote and/or Girder will be answered pretty quick here.
