All,

Weather retrieval with a basic OSD is ready for some testing...

Unzip the attached zip in to the girder directory.

Should start up on Girder reset. Make sure you have your location set.

how do you hide the osds?

Why would you want to do that? :D

There are 3 mapped events..

WEATER XXX

You can call TriggerEvent ("WEATHER CURRENT",18) to toggle the display of the various osds

Remember its a work in progress and I am open to suggestions...

Hi Mike

Ah yeah!

Are there any control for opening the displays and closing etc?

Yes, the mapped events as I described above.

or

weather.Local:ShowSatellite (true/false)

or

ShowCurrentConditions or ShowForecastConditions

send me some feedback!

Mike,

Feedback, here you go... I have no Forecast data. There is no Forecast table with data in it.

I checked the forcast url manually in my browser, there is data available.

I get the following error in the lua script box.

Weather callback function error ...Files\Promixis\Girder\/luascript/startup/weather.lua:96: attempt to index field `fc' (a nil value)

http://xml.customweather.com/xml?client=proximis_test&client_password=t3mp&product=expanded_forecast&name=Brighton,E Sussex,United Kingdom&metric=true

:)

Weird I did a restart, after several F11's I got the same error then suddenly it appeared.

The error was the one I previously posted.

When I start Girder it loads and gives me an error about the multimonitor plugin (I will start another thread about this) and then the image of the map appears. I was just wondering if there is a reason why it is not zoomed in on my city. Am I doing something wrong for my location setup perhaps, and if so, how can I detect what I need to change?

yes, keep the multimon plugin enabled.

hm, I wonder if that is what they mean when they supply canadian weather....
