View Full Version : Girder always reinstalls under Current User

I wanted Girder to start up no matter who logged on, so I moved the shortcut to Girder to the "c:\documents and settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" folder.

However, Girder keeps on adding a shortcut to itself to
"c:\documents and settings\<current user>\start menu\programs\startup".

This results in two instances of Girder running when I restart the machine.

I think there are two problems:
* Girder shouldn't start two instances of itself -- if it's already running it shouldn't start a second instance.
* It shouldn't install itself under 'current user' if there's already a startup item in 'all users'.

simply disable the run on startup option and girder will no longer create startup shotcuts

I agree, this is easy to work around. It just took a while to figure out what was going on, because you don't notice it happening right away (you have to reboot before the problem appears, and I leave the HTPC on all the time.)

And I'd look in "startup" and there was just one "Girder" there, so it took a while.

Girder doesn't add itself always, it just does it when you open the options dialog to and fiddle with something else.
