Hi All,
I’ve got a small yet annoying problem.
I have a Leadtek Winfast 2000 deluxe card and am running XP sp2
If I get girder to run on windows startup – (either by putting girder in the startup menu, or in
File
Settings
General and clicking “Launch Girder on Startup” )

I get 2 error messages for windows starts up:

1. Winfast TV2000 Girder plugin error

This function requires a video capture device based on the Brooktree (Conexant) BT848(A), BT849 or BT878 chip. No could be found. Are you sure you have one?

2. Critical Error
Load Plugins Failed

Girder will open, but the remote doesn’t trigger any events.
If I then exit girder and restart it – it all works fine!!! ???

It feels a bit like the card needs some time to get up and running, before Girder goes looking for it …. Then again I might be doing something very wrong.
Any help greatly received.
Cheers
Mike

This is a bug that has been mentioned before on this forum. Basically, it is a bug with Girder when loading with lots of other apps, like on startup. Its pathetic it hasn't been fixed. The only way around it is to get a startup delayer program so it runs after all the other stuff, or alternatively start Girder manually after bootup.

By the way, this is the same with any card, not just yours.
