I had a quick look through the forum topics for solutions related to the short range of typical pocket PC devices, but none of them seems to fit my requirement. I am looking for installations where a wireless WI-FI enabled device (actually a touchpanel or webpad running CE.net) will be able to replace existing infrared remotes.
Since there are to be no desktop PCs in the house, we don't have any serial or USB ports to connect IR blasters. I am actually thinking of a blaster, which will have an ehternet port and receive commands via WI-FI from the NetRemote software and convert them to IR. Is there such a solution out there?
