I was thinking you could use one of these to drive a usb sound device locally near an amplifier / room

pc ---> Cat5 ---> USB Sound device ---> Stereo

Nice! Because of the price of wireless webcams I have been putting of buying a cam to use for the door bell I usually sit down in my office, and I would like to see if I really need to answer the door, or if it's somebody looking after kids that aren't at home. Now I can get a very cheap cam and put it up with this!

Edit: Weird that it's more expensive on eBay, though...

Good catch again! I'll get it from there, since it's sendt from Taiwan anyway... Since this is so cheap, I may try to connect an extra cam to the alarm system! "Hey, burglar, you are now on the Net! Smile!" :wink:
