In the NR user guide I read the snippet below. My question is, have these issues been resolved?

“A word of caution on the GC if you are using a wireless network you will need to ensure good coverage otherwise the GC does not transmit the codes even if other LAN devices at the same location work fine. I also found that certain command such as volume up / down need long key presses to function correctly. To do this you need to enable repeats, but again ensure you have a good network connection otherwise the GC can loose the connection to NetRemote and believe you are still pressing the up button, this is not good for ears or speakers.“

The issue of long presses has been, yes. The issue of repeats is still there. You asked in another thread why not send the IR code repeatedly, and the answer is that you would get unnatural repeats that wouldn't act like a true repeat. For instance, with my amplifier with each code it moves the volume a bit. When it notices you're holding it down, it moves faster. This is not possible without true repeats.

Now the issue, as mentioned here, is that if your PPC were to drop it's connection, the GC would never get the "up" event and it would keep sending.

In my day-to-day usage this has not ever been a problem. Perhaps Wilhelm or another member could chime in as to whether they've had problems with this.
