Sorry for so many newbie questions. I am trying to send a specific IR signal out of USB-UIT when a key is pressed on my FireFly keyboard. I can setup the event etc but can't figure out how to add the USB-UIRT action. There is no action editor added by this plug in. How should I proceed? Thanks

Under Actions on the left, go into the Girder folder and at the bottom there will be a USBUIRT action if you have installed the plugin correctly. Drag it over to your tree and the options will open automatically.

Thanks. I do not see a USB-UIRT action there. I thought the plug-in was installed correctly since I can se it and activate it in the settings. I can also Learn events from it (i.e. incoming IR). I will try reinstall to see if anything changes. Thanks
EDIT : No luck! I downloadd the plugin again and copied the DLL to the plugins folder again. Still the same. No actions entry listed under the Girder expando. Any thoughts as to what might be wrong on my installation?

There are 2 files included with the plugin, if I remember correctly. You need to place each of them into firrent folds. I think one goes into the UI folder under plugins.
You need the plugin that has been converted to Girder 4. The Girder 3.3 plugin will not work. here is a link:

Presto! This worked indeed. Thanks for the pointer. I was misled by another post where it is stated that the USB-UIRT works out the box etc. Just assumed the old plugin will do the trick for version 4. Let me go dig into this. Appreciate the help.

Actually the heading for that post of mine was "Jon's USB-UIRT plug-in works out of the box", which should imply that you need to install the plug-in first.

Right. And I did. Only the G3.3 plugin posted on the downloads section and on Jon's page. Semantics error on my part in readin the "out of box" as the existing release version. Did not think of looking for a beta version posted on this forum. My error totally. Thanks

No problem. I'm still puzzled about the learning not working on your system, btw. Do you have the latest firmware for the USB-UIRT?
