How to switch off the annoying 'half' menu's

I did not find a setting to switch on my full menu's again. How to? (Never knew the idea behind this strange function; options you don't use often disappear. These options are exactly the ones I want to see because I can't always recall the place and exact name. )

right click on a toolbar and select customise, select options and uncheck "menus show recently used commands first"
