Yeah that is about what I had in mind, I'll be making a plugin for this though. That way it is a little easier to use. For instance the OSD doesn't dissapear right now after the correct event and it requires the alarm timer, making this even more complicated for the less savy users.

Here is a sample girder group which does roughly the same thing as the question action in Girder 3.0. It uses Alarmtimer plugin.

Ok, cool. A plugin certainly would be a lot easier to use!
BTW is there any way to hide a displayed OSD?
Because it would be very useful if there was!
