Yeah, please write under HKLM.

Thanks I'll update it.

Mostly Girder deals with hardware and installed software that is the same for every user. I've also been getting requests for this change. Though I can see why you would suggest the OSD settings in the HKCU.

If you insist on keeping your settings in HKCU that is fine by me, I'm not forcing anyone on this.

Of course now I'll get requests from users that want it the other way. Well tough luck.

btw, sorry for the whole stuff with the updated API, but I really want to get rid of the old cruft that has been piling up inside of Girder.

If I may ask, why are you moving things that are relevant to a particular user (window placement, preferences, etc.) to the machine tree?

Just wondering. I'll change my plugins (OSD Popup, Serial, etc.) as I get a chance.

I'm not insisting on anything. I was just curious.

Users actually requested this? Wow. Users are usually right. As I said, I'll update my plugins as I get a chance.

MMcM - If you are taking over the Logger plugin, I have a couple of new function requests ... (joke) Thanks for doing this.

I am assuming that we now want all plug-in settings to go under HKLM, rather than trying to figure out how to split them between there and HKCU. Agreed? I have fixed DVDSpy and will fix Logger. If I am right, OSD PopUp needs to be changed, too.

SlinkE needs conversion, too. I'm using 1.0 from the 3.1 full install.
