Post bugs about beta 12C here. Make sure you have beta12 C before posting bug, your bug might have been fixed in this version already.

I've seen this too. Let me explain what happens.

Taskswitch, Taskcreat and Keyboard plugin all hook into the global eventloop, by doing this they get called into the memoryspace of other applications. Sometimes they stick there without any apparent reason, if you close that app however the dll will get unload, so the refcount is correct. Nothing to worry about.

Darn, I knew I still had to update that. Putting it on the todo list right now. I'm working on a replacement for the TCPIP server as I'm inable to contact Jay.

You have to associate the .gml in the settings window. ( I don't like it when programs do that by them selfs and overwrite my other settings so I leave it up to the user if they want to associate the .gml files )

I'll see to it that device zero becomes device 18 in the convertor.

Yup indeed, fixed in next release. ( How urgent is this for you ? )

Fixed.

Looking into that horrible converter problem now

The directory thing is something that windows does nothing i can do about it. If you want to save as temp.gml, type temp.gml. If you only type temp it will open that directory.

The Icon thing has been fixed.

Will release later today.

<Command=.............Enabled="TRUE" />

the strange closing tag is perfectly okay, its XML its defined this way... still looking at the source of the convertor

Make sure that you have Match invisible targets checked. Both actions work just fine.

I just DL'd beta 12c and converter 1.04. After converting my original GIR file, all of the actions associated with commands within a MultiGroup are gone  Actions associated with individual commands are OK. :???:

In other words; if I have (had) a MultiGroup containing commands with a Check Reg action, and a wait action, all the "Girder" action tab fields and "Window" tab fields are blank. Same thing goes for any and all actions.

The file size of my original GIR files is 721K. After conversion to GML the file shrinks to 444k (with beta 10 the file size trippled). If I open the file with Girder and save it, file size goes to 1,014K.

This one's a showstopper  Any thoughts?

Also, a minor file save bug: at the file save dialog box, if you use a file name that matches a folder name you are magically transported to that folder. Before you ask; I have a folder named temp--I discovered the problem when trying to save my file as temp. Ditto for "plugins", "help", etc.

[EDIT] In looking at the GML files using IE, commands within multigroups are missing everything after the initial "<Command Name=" tag, including the closing tag. Oddly, the opening tags have a slash before the ">".
IE: <Command=.............Enabled="TRUE" />

Concerning Multigroup EventStrings. They are working now. But Girder does not update EventString tree icons to "crossed" and back again in "real time". Other icons are OK.

.gml does not seem to be getting associated with Girder. I'm not sure whether the installer does that or Girder when you first run it. But .gir was associated with 3.0 somehow.

It would be nice if the converter recognized old-style Girder internal events (GirderOpen, etc.) with Device=0 (guess that means no device) and converted them to Device="18".

Is anyone else having trouble with the SendMessage 1.51 plug-in? I have not researched it thoroughly, but I am not seeing anything sent. Spy++ does not show anything going out, either.

Not really sure whether it's a bug or just on of windows wonderful 'quirks'...
When I update Girder 3.1 to a newer beta as you release them I close girder, then immediately extract all files to the girder directory. However, I normally get an 'access denied' error on taskcreate.dll because it is still in use according to windows.
I'm quite happy to accept this is just windows (2000) messing around but it might be worth just checking over girder to ensure it is correctly releasing it's dll's!
Thankyou

Beta 12C. 'Set Group targets' does not appear to work - I assume it should set targets for all groups/multigroups within the group to the same thing? It is not setting anything at the moment.

There is a bug with the save confirmation dialog. If I change my .gml file and try to open a new one Girder dosen't save or ask for save of the old one and directly opens the new one.

The commands Show and Hide window, SHOW doesn't work properly. I have an application i want to hide, and it works, but show doesn't bring that application back up anymore!

Shoot..you are right...i forgot that! I guess the convertor didn't really convert all my old commands...had to reprogram some of them =} Thanks! I'm not noticing any other bugs yet!

Not so much as bug but the OSD timeout dialog says to input the timeout in microseconds as in 1exp-6 sec, when i am sure you meant to write milliseconds.
Not that an order of magnititude is anything important for us physicists

When press Browse in the Set XX-Tray icon, the file type is set to .ICO but although the directory contain many .ico files, Girder display nothing. I must switch to All Files to show them.
