Why a new file format?

There is a convertor available in the Misc section on the download page.

Reason for switch: flexibility. Girder now has deep nesting of groups, multiple events per command.

Reason for upgrade, Girder 3.0 is no longer supported :grin:

Umm.. why has girder a new file format.. I cant load my old GXR och GXL files with the new version.

Should i stick with the older version (3.0) or is there any major advantage with 3.1?
