First, enable the hardware plugin. Close and reopen the settings dialog. You will now see an entry in action plugins 'Keyboard Driver' - enable this.
Now create a new command in girder, assign it to the action plugin 'Keyboard Driver'. Then learn an event string to this action - I suggest 'GirderOpen' as it will be executed when girder opens. For the settings on the plugin you need to add any keys you want to block to the list.
