I have a pc set up in my living room that I use to play my DVD's with. I would like to use this machine to play my MP3's with. The problem is that I dont want to have to power up my projector or TV in order to play music. I have a laptop that I use and I am wondering if I can use NetRemote instead of a pocketpc device?

Yes, there's a Win32 version in the package, and that's for regular PCs. As long as you're not running Linux, Mac or something silly like that, of course.

So just to confirm I can have netremote running on my PC and use the laptop as the remote?

No. You run NetRemote on your laptop and the media player program with MediaBridge on your media PC.

OK cool. Thanks for the info. One last question! How easy is it to configure netremote?

If you can program a VCR... Seriously, it's easy, and you'll get help here if you're stuck. Basically if you're able to post to the forum, you should be able to do basic configuration.
