If you could do some research on example code, then I could look into this, but I do not have the time to hunt for this myself right now.

No, I never give up! When somebody helps me with something, I come right back with another question. But then how should I learn anything without them?
When you choose "play wave" as command in Girder, it plays it on the default sound card. I've got two sound cards on my MP3 jukebox (for two different zones in the house, so I can listen to something while my wife or children listen to something else). I let Girder play wave files where I say the numbers 0-9 (with a lot of effects, so it sounds like Darth Robot, or something) and I would like to be able to play those wave files on the sound card I choose to play it on, so I can hear the numbers for zone 1 in that zone and vice versa. Is this possible, or can this be made possible?
Thanks a lot in advance! (Yes, I'm still optmistic, especially since all the very helpful people here give me reason to be!)

Then I'm afraid I'm stuck, since I have no idea what to look for or where to look. Perhaps I can find a simple wave-file player on download.com?
