Compatibility mode is for hardware plugins and Software plugins that are able to trigger other commands ( for example Alarmtimer )

Help system isn't updated for 3.1 beta 1x either.
Taskswitch and Taskcreate have been updated and are included in the distro.
The helpfile isn't updated no, I know that thank you very much.

Two that I use extensively are:
Time2Reg
TimeServer
I don't know if they need updating or will continue to work.

If you upgraded to Girder 3.1 you need to relearn any of the 'Girder Events' since they now act as a separate device - this may be your problem.

If the author of KeyboardEx cannot be contacted I would be happy to update this plugin.

I'm currently putting together a 'Hardware FAQ.' This will give a description explaining what each plugin does, as well as giving help setting up/configuring.

It appears that KeyboardEx needs updating; I get the "compatability mode" message whenever I hit a key.
Also, I'm not sure if this is a Girder bug or related to the outdated plugin, but I have KeyboardEx set to block keys on GirderOpen, but it doesn't do it automatically. I have to use the "Test Command" function to activate it.

Are all old plugins supposed not to work when I haven't checked the compatability mode? Is it normal that MouseAccel or Advanced Mouse Event or OSD Poput work perfectly with or without compatability mode turned on?

I use the following plugins frequently and it doesn't look like they've been updated to the new API yet (according to the download sections on this site).
Action
Advanced Mouse Event
dcCalculator
Hardware
Igor's SFH-56 plugin
I think others should post their lists of plugins that haven't been updated here as well.

TaskSwitch & TaskSwitch needs update ASAP.
Besides, for that purposes are they ?
Maybe it would be usefull to mention in help about hardware plugins - for what devices/functions they are (for example device notify driver & so on).
Help system isn't updated for 3.1 beta 1x either.
