Why use editable combo boxes ?

I notice that Girder uses combo boxes with editable text in places where it should use drop down combo boxes (where all you can do is change the selection, not the text).

Example: under the tabs for: Window, O.S., Command, Girder, Mouse, and Keyboard.

Is there a reason for this? If not, please change them... its just one of those things that annoy me.
