Is the path to the Hardware plugins folder correct? If yes then are there any .dll files in it?
What version of Girder do you use?

I think your plugin's driver is not correct. When it is correct, your little green (or red) light must be "on" when you press a key of the remote... if not, try another plugin, or verify that you've put it in the right directory.

Go to the main girder page and go to exported groups. There are several that control winamp and should give you a good working sample.

You need a IR receiver device connected to your PC. Something like IRman by evation. Your remote has to have some device to catch the IR signal and send it to Girder.

I'm a beginner, ten stages before novice. I basically want an example on how I can control another program with my ast logitech remote through girder. I kinda need a step by step explanantion of what I need to do. I want to start by controlling winamp if possible at all? If anybody could help me out, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi,
I looked at the getting started instruction, but it says that the little green light should come on saying that your input devices are working. I have an ast logitech remote and I had heard somewhere that you could use girder to control it so I have tried, but it doesn't seem to recognize it as an input device. Every time I start girder it says that there are no input devices and when i go to settings and try to look at the input device list there's nothing there. Anybody have any suggestions.
