Basically you can do whatever you want with Girder - you just have to figure out how!
Read the (incomplete) online help section and also check out the 'getting started' guide for more information.
As for the remote, I would say it is 99% likely that you can use that remote with Girder - it depends on the hardware you use. I use an IRMan which is supposed to work with nearly every remote available.

don't run IRserver simultaneously with Girder. Only one can "own" the IR receiver.

Hi.
I use a universal remote (Pilot JPH01) for my VCR.
Can I use that with girder ?
So far, i've brought some 3rd party hardware that does the job, and a 55 button remote.
I want to use the VCR remote for some stuff on the computer (mainly the volume, some tvtuner apps, etc), and the big remote for other stuff (internet, etc)
Can I do all that with girder ?
thanx .

huh... thanx...
Well, i have some home made ir receiver, i don't know the supported remote types...
I think that 1st i should read the girder documentation...
The remote that i use now, works very fine with IrServer Plugins, but with girder, when i choose "learn event" and in status bar is "Waiting for Ir Code", it does not receive any codes from the working remote, the one that works with IRServer Plugins...
Is It Something That I Miss Here ?
bye
