You assign keyboard keys to buttons on your remote. But I don't think it'll be good though. You would probably have a slight delay...

oh...
well, anyway, I'm not sure UIR->UIR plugin->Girder->smth.else would be fast enough to avoid the lag between turning the wheel and the reaction in the game... If you're building a wheel, why would you want to do it through girder? Make an ordinary driver to handle your hardware...Though it could be pretty tough to make it compatible with games......

I completely understand what you want to do. I just said, that you might have a slight delay in this stuff. Anyway, I don't think someone can make a plugin you need not having the wheel itself (as far as I understand, you're making your own transmitter). So you'd better start learning how to make this plugin yourself.

Is someone capable of writing an action plugin that can simulate the joystick for playing games with the Tv remote ?

My intention was to build a steering wheel with a mechanism similar to a mouse and then by UIR and Girder to command the game similar to as y have a joystick.

Y'l be more specific.
Y want to transmit from my steering wheel IR strings to Girder, then Girder must make the computer to think there is a joystick connected to gameport and then the computer tell the game that is a joystick conected to the gameport(but there isn't).You see,the point is to use IR instead of cable.
