It actually is accurate in 22.5 degree steps and has 2 pressure levels ( ANGLE-1 and ANGLE-2 ). At least mine is. You can either make the plugin move the mouse directly or you can do something with this data your self.

Ah it seems that your AST remote returns a different value on button up from mine, if you tell me what value it sends on key up, I'll filter it out.

Php and Mysql have few secrets for me either  but a postcard is always fun!

I have the Logitech AST remote... I have been working with Girder and finally realized that the blue mouse/thumb pad doesnt send up/down/left/right, it sends something like Number_of_degrees-1.
Thus, down is anywhere around 180-1, etc. At least I think so. Can anybody confirm this, and if so, how do you set up girder to work correctly in this sort of circumstance? Is there a way to take advantage of this (Very cool) feature? seems a shame to just set up down left right when it is so precise.
Thanks,
Chris Murphy

Thanks Ron -
I was just getting comfortable with Girder, and I decided that instead of hassling with it, I would use the mousemove- That's what its there for  Now I have a different question/problem, on the AST, it seems to give one code on button down, and one on button up for the two main blue buttons on each side. Is there a way to use this to girders advantage when it comes to drag and drop for example? I can't find an easy way to set specific mouse down and mouse up events, and complicating the issue is that the remote returns the same code for left button up as it does for right button up.
A very greatful Chris

Sure Ron - it sends the following-
(Key Name | Key Down / Key Up)
Left | 57 / 56
Right | 58 / 56
Middle | 8 Repeating - No Button Up.
Couple more questions... (I am such a newbie - sorry)
- I have assigned 'Mouse Left Click' to a couple of different buttons, thinking my problem was with the keyup keydown situation, but I cannot get a simple left or right click out of this remote. It processes the signal (the code shows at the bottom) but it does not return a mouse click. I am running Girder 3.1.0 beta 16.
- What is the purpose of having a step field with the Mouse Left Click action? is it just there because of the mouse movement fields, or does it do something upon mouse clicks as well?
Thanks,
Chris
- Is there anything I can do to help you out in return? Your dedication is amazing - I know PHP and MySQL well, or would be glad to send a postcard.

Hmm.. this is curious. I deleted the folder that had the mouse actions in it (left right click etc.) and recreated them very carefully with exactly the same settings in a different folder, and they work now. Don't know what that's all about. Anyway, offer still stands.
