While trying to change an existing CCF, I wanted to change something that was throughout many sections of the CCF. I would have found a 'Find' or a 'Search and Replace' very useful, to change all references of the old string to the new string. I would like to have changed strings in page names, and also in 'Send to Girder' commands that were in the file.

-Everywhere-, including Girder? Interesting. Were you replacing someone else's ccf, or changing your Girder event names?

What I had done was take the JLee CCF and try to add in the DirecTivo page from Carlton Bale's CCF. I also wanted to, as a part of this, change the 'Lights' page to 'TiVo', and the 'Sky' page to 'Dish' in JLee CCF. This meant that I had to go through the entire CCF looking for 'Lights' and replace it with 'TiVo', and 'Sky' and replace it with 'Dish'. I did all of this, before realizing that there was no way I was going to get the file to save (the bug I posted on already in another thread). I thought if I changed all occurrences, that the file would eventually save, but it didn't.
In JLee's CCF, when you click a TV logo, it sends an event to Girder, such as 'Sky.CH(101)'. Instead of changing all of these by hand, which took awhile, a find and replace would have been wonderful. I know I would have had to change things on the Girder side, but I actually was able to take the .GML file and just do a search-and-replace on it. I don't have Girder yet, and don't know anything about it, but I figured this was all I'd have to do to change that side of the equation.
