Think about switching to the DVDSpy-LCD plugin for Girder. ( DVDSpy also spies on Winamp ;-) )

This girder app is fantastic, i'm currently using it to control a DIY MP3 jukebox. The plugin that came with the IRman controller is crap, and girder is proving quite more efficient. I'm having one odd problem though: I cant seem to get Girder to control the function of a winamp plugin. I have a crystalfontz serial LCD controlled by a winamp LCD plugin (http://www.markuszehnder.ch/projects/lcdplugin/index.html) Now, part of the LCD plugin is a "menu" function. By default, the slash key on the numpad will bring up a concise menu for loading playlists, toggling winamp functions ,etc etc on the LCD. In girder, i assigned winamps basic functions no problem using the Keyboard commands, but when i tried to enter "numpad /" as a key to toggle the LCD menu on or off, nothing happens, the LED on the remote goes off, but i get no response, if i hit the key on the keyboard, its all good, but it wont take the command from the IR. I tried changing up the menu key assignment several times, nothing worked with any of them. The last thing i tried was to capture the command, while the capture records other keys (play="X") as a syscommand; whenever i press the key assigned to control the LCD menu (toggle on/off, menu select, menu scroll, etc) the capture fails to record any of them. Am i targeting the wrong app? i can't see anything else besides winamp.exe that would make sense. Anyone got any bright ideas? or maybe i need a girder plugin i dont know about? Any help would be great! thanks in advance.

I am having the EXACT same problem!
I have been trying to get this to work for hours, no luck at all :(
I tried all the methods that are described in the above post to no avail.
