Upgrade to Girder 3.1. It included a new TCPIP server. The Internet Event server.

As far as I know the serial plugin works if you check the compatibility mode. And the slinke works and is included in the distribution.
Upgrading _should_ not be to big a hassle. I can't make any promises though

Install in a separate directory. So you don't loose your current setup. Just make sure you don't run them at the same time.
As far as I know the antirepeat time is copied from the old .gir files. You might have read some old posts where the converter was broken on this point. If for some reason it still is broken just let me know.

I have a server running on ME (girder 3.0.25) and have used the default settings and added the ip address of the allowed clients. It works with hyperterm but not with TCPIP client 2 run from within Girder 3.0.25 on an XP machine on the same network.
I am trying to kick off an event from one machine to trigger an event on another so I need the ip client to work.
I get error incorrect password from the client in Girder yet the the same parameters in Hperterm work 100%.
Based on other posts this appears to be common. I donot have Quiet mode on and compatibility mode is off.
Any ideas.....or is it a bug?

What upgrade process should I follow just an install over the top???
Or should I remove the old girder?
Also I note I have to convert my old file this scares me a little also will I lose my antirepeats on the latest version....
