Save works only sometimes

This happens often when trying to export map files. I believe it also happens in saving to GMLs too but not that often. There were a few times I thought I had saved but my GML was the old version. Now that I had major problems with exporting maps...maybe it was also GMLs. Does anyone else think they are having problems saving?

I was trying to export a new key map file callled multimedia.map....It wouldn't let me. I tried 2 different directories several times. After I renamed it to multi.map it saved.
