Is there a ping command availble from lua in nr? similar to G4's win.ping?

Okay. So ping doesn't exist now. What were you hoping to do with this, see if a specific server is available? We could see about adding it in the future, if necessary.

Yeah, I just want to test for a server to control the actions of a button and the state of the button.

If you placed a test.txt file on every networked computer and then tried to open that file in Lua, you'd get an error if the network connection was broken. Is this an equivalent approach to ping?
