Chris,

If you program the pronto to send keyboard ir signals you can use the keyboards ir receiver without problems.

Phiman,

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking but bear in mind that the IR "Receiver" that comes with wireless keyboards will ignore all non-keyboard signals. This means that your tv remote, for example, cannot be used with the keyboard's IR receiver. If you want to use device remotes (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.), you'll need a seperate IR receiver such as Irman, RedHat2, etc.

Hope this helps -- Steve

Of course you can !

Girder can take events from any keyboard. This includes of course remote ones.

I don't know how Girder can react when using a keyboard with additionnal keys in general. speaking of the "webboard/IR9703" keyboard, it's a not so old feature of Girder (added by Vladimir). Adiitionnal keys (web, close, mute ..) can be used as input events.

See a decription page of the webboard here http://www.amegroup.com.au/peripheral/kb001.html

Also the webboard related topic with very recent updates http://www.stack.nl/~stilgar/windoze/forum/viewtopic.php?TopicID=8

I´m thinking of buying a remote keyboard. Could I use the keyboard with Girder? I mean, Could I change the program that control the remote keyboard for the Gider? I wanna have the remote keyboard & a remote control at the same time, using the IR receptor that comes with the remote keyboard.
Can the Guider control keyboards?

One thing I discovered when using Girder was that I had to unplug my IR keyboard and use a regular keyboard when I was teaching it commands from my DVD remote, because as soon as I clicked on the Apply button, it would learn the IR command from the keyboard instead of the remote.

Steve,

That doesn't hold true for the Pronto remote, does it?
