I'm not familiar with the Theatertek thing. But as far as I know you 'should' be able to teach the marantz the codes that the keyboard sends and thus use the marantz to send the codes.
Double keys, no clue, maybe someone else has experience with this.

"All I really want to do is be able to run Theatertek from the Marant remote control, including all of the video adjustments etc"
Chris,
I had a airboard wireless keyboard/mouse, marantz 2k mkI, and Girder. I could not get the MkI controller to work with the Airboard IR receiver so I got a IRMan (www.evation.com) which works fine with the Marantz remote and Girder. This combination works great and controls all the Zoom Player functions that have keyboard commands. I got rid of the wireless keyboard and have all the HTPC functions operating by the remote.
You can use the exisitng RC5 codes in the remote to be learned by Girder and have those events trigger TT commands. You can also learn codes into the remote then use those for Girder.

Hi everyone! Forgive the newbie question but I'm looking for a little reassurance that I'm not on a path with no hope! I'm now registered on about seven message boards and trying to learn all about HTPC's, Powerstrip, Girder, CRT's and Theatertek. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with all of the available information out there! So, to the point...
I have a new HTPC with a Logitec wireless K/B and mouse. I have also installed the Theatertek DVD player and just downloaded Girder (not installed yet). From searching the forum (yes, I did search  ) I gather that I can't use my Marantz learning remote directly with the IR receiver that came with the Logitec K/B and mouse because it will ignore the codes. Can I then teach my remote the key functions required to operate Theatertek and then use the remote? If this is possible how would I teach the double key commands? Would I use Girder to convert the double key entry to a single key entry when Theatertak is running and then teach the remote that single key?
All I really want to do is be able to run Theatertek from the Marant remote control, including all of the video adjustments etc.....Thanks in advance.
