When one has lots of frames and buttons on top of each other, is there a way in NR Designer to list, view, or otherwise determine what is on top of what?

I know how to bring an element up a layer or send it to the back, but what I'd really dig is if selecting a frame would show you a listing of the elements within that frame (like it does in the left pane of NRD) and what layer they are on. A way of editing what element is on what layer would be ideal.

Um, what's wrong with looking at the left hand pane? That seems to tell you what's going on fairly unambiguously. Or am I missing something?

It's probably me that's missing something. If 10 items are on top of each other, how do i tell what order they are in the stack-up? Which one is on top, which item is directly under him and so on. In other words, what is their "Z" order?

Looking in the tree on the left, the items are displayed from bottom of stack to top of stack.

So ...

Page
* Frame 1
** Button 1
** Button 2
* Frame 2

would be drawn in the order shown (frame 1, then button 1, then button 2, then frame 2).

note that button 1 and 2 are contained by frame 1, so will be clipped to be within frame 1's rectangle.

Great to know! I knew I was missing something.
I trust this means their order can be changed by simply draging an element to a new position. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

Actually, you should use the "bring to top", "Send to back", "Bring forward" and "send backward" options, rather than attempting to drag and drop.
