I am trying out Girder 4 with the demo I downloaded from the Promixis web site.

I have figured out how to assign "events" to the various buttons on my Remote Wonder I remote, but, how do I find out what "events" an application's plug-in supports?

Thanks!

Dave

Hi Doug,

I am not sure what you are asking :(

Is there a plugin in mind that you need to know more about?

I guess what I want to know is what 'things" do each of the plug-ins do?

Fo example, can I naviagte the media library in WMP10? Can I bring up the DVD menu in WinDVD? And, what "events" are tied to these actions?

How do I find out what actions each plug-in supports?

First question, have you read the manual? Its fairly extensive and covers much of what you want to know.

I think you are more asking what programs you can control with Girder. ie WinDVD or Winamp.

Girder comes with what we call GML for windvd and WMP. With you remote you should be able to navigate WMP's menu. What remote are you using?

if I have a plug-in for application "X".

How do I find out what things in application "X" the plug-in can control?

For the record, I have an ATI Remote Wonder.

Girder uses GML s to control programs... not plugins. Plugins are mostly for devices.

We have a long list of programs that Girder controls. The functionality varies betwen them. You can download and run them to see. If they don't suit your needs, most can modified or extended easily.
