Hi Guys,

I've searched and found some similar threads, but can someone confirm for me that if I have the CM11x plugin installed, I should see x10 events received from wall switches in the logger, correct?

Scenario:

I turn on the stair lights at the wall switch (which is an x10 switch.) Girder should "see" this x10 event, correct? I'd like to train my riser lights to come on at the same time, but when I build the riser_on command, click "learn", and switch the stair lights on via the wallplate, no "learning" happens!

Right now I do not see any x10 events in the log (except for the ones initiated by girder, of course)

Thanks for your thoughts,
Scott

Scott, this is switch dependant. Most x10 switches do not signal there status on the powerline.

Mike,

Does Scott mean see the X10 signal sent by the switch not the status? If so he should see that.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the confusion - I'm probably not using the proper terms, but I think Danward79 has figured out what I am trying to do:

If I manually (i.e. with my hand) turn on an x10 wall switch (say, A1), shouldn't I see A_1_On in the girder log viewer?

I've tried it with two switches that I have installed:

It's not clear whether these switches actually transmit X10 commands as well as receiving them.

I think you're right, Rob. Everything i've read seems to point me in the direction that they do not transmit x10 commands when they are turned on / off.
