Need A Good Remote

I want a good remote to replace my now broken BOSE remote that came wiht ym Lifestyle something system my dad bought. I would eprsonally like to automate my family room. I would like the BOSE system, VCR, celing fan with light and fireplace to operate from the remote. Roughly how much would that cost? I am new to this but I do need a new remote for the BOSE.

You could probably find an Axim X3 or X30 on ebay for < $200. Do you just want to do IR or do you want to use other features of NetRemote?
