Exception Error on Opening PCF File

I just got a new Yamaha receiver and got a PCF file from Remote Central with all the discrete IR codes (see attached).

NRD will not open this file. I am running version 1.0.0.19.

I get an unhandled exception error as follows:

"A generic error occurred in GDI+."

I understood that NRD shoul dbe able to open PCF files. Any help would be much appreciated.

It looks as though the problem is with one of the graphics in that file.

If you want a quick solution to the problem of getting at the IR codes, then I'd download a recent version of ProntoProEdit that supports PCF files e.g. from RemoteCentral (http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=prontong&db=other&br=programs&dv=philipsprontong&fc=)

Then you should be able to cut and paste the IR codes between ProntoProEdit and NRD.[/u]

I have another PCF file from which I would like to use some graphics. I get the same error when I try to open it.

The file is too large to post. Any thoughts?

I can't remember if ProntoProEdit NG supports saving images - you could try that I suppose. Do you have a link to the PCF file?

Actually, I've just remembered that PCF files are actually renamed .Zip files so you could rename the file and extract the bitmaps that way
