OSD-Menu cannot be navigated using arrows (sometime)

sometimes: when I start an OSD menu :
-it cannot be navigated using keyboard
-it *works* with mouse
-clicking an item will close it and:
-Next time, it opens , it will be possible to navigate it with keyboard.

why ?

maybe it is not in "foreground" ? - this can happend when no other windows are visible, and this happends each time, until one item is selected by mouse..

I have that problem every time. I use the Application launcher demo downloaded from the thread about it, and when the OSD menu opens, every move with the arrow keys will move whatever's in the background (like going up and down on a webpage).
