This is a hardware conflict nothing software can do about it. Sorry.

Build youself an UIR, it does pick up the Airboard, but that is not a problem, because it will have a distinctly unique eventstring. With the UIR you can use just about any remote you have lying around.

I recently got a Logitech/AST remote control for use with my home theater PC. The PC was already equiped with a Lite-On Airboard, which is an IR-based integrated keyboard and pointing device. Girder (3.1) responds to both the Logitech/AST remote and the Airboard. The only Girder HW plugin I'm using is NEC/AST/IBM. When I use Logitech/AST remote, Girder responds with IR strings 0 to 35 (more if you include mouse on AST remote). Apparently when certain keys are pressed or pointing device used on the Airboard, Girder also responds with those same IR strings.

Is there an easy way to (re)map the Girder NEC/AST/IBM plugin IR strings (say to 400-435, instead of 0-35) so thay they don't interfere with the Airboard? Like a registry setting, etc.?

If necessary, since I'm a programmer in a former life, I'm willing to change and recompile the plugin source for this special case. I didn't see the source for the NEC/AST/IBM plugin available on Girder page. Is it possible for me to get the source for this plugin?

Thanks,
Mark

OK, upon further investigation, it turns out the AST IR _receiver_ is susceptible (doesn't filter out) to Airboard IR signals, hence the reason Girder "responds" to both AST remote as well as the Airboard. Sorry to waste your time w/ above question before finishing my own investigation.

Slightly OT, does anyone know of an IR remote/receiver combo that won't interfere with the Airboard, including homebuilt ones? Ideally I'd like to use my univesal remote control with my home theater PC w/ Girder.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Mark
